I'd love to see more team-based statistics, not just clan-based.
So, for example, which kinds of statistics? And how do you envision defining teams, if it's not via clan? You think clan is too broad for what you are suggesting, I take it?
I think the teams could only be defined if there were some sort of group dueling system where three people could, via the hud, link themselves together to compete. In any given clan there are going to be different teams that spar together. It could also be set so that the only way it registers is if the team members are from the same clan. Then if, for example, each clan had its own stat page, their stat page could also give stats for their top teams. I'd suggest on top of that, if such a feature were ever implemented, that in a team battle deaths and kills count for the clan and the team but not for the individual. In the tournament we've run into a few times where someone should have sacrificed themselves for their team and they hesitated to because they didn't want a death. Maybe it's better the way it registers now because it forces people to think about the spar at hand and not about numbers, but it would be nice to see folks more willing to take a fall in a team spar.
A good katana fight is like a good conversation.
It's deeply engaging, reciprocal and it flows smoothly.
