Dear reader,

You’re invited to attend The Final Stand 3v3 C:SI Tournament @ Samurai Edo. In addition to this notecard, for the next two weeks all of the details for sign-ups will be available online at Link .

This event is designed for clan vs clan competition. Each team must be submitted by your clan leader and must be comprised of current clan members. There will be no second place. Winner takes all. Matches will be held over three consecutive weekends starting with the first round on March 8th and 9th at 3PM SLT/PST.

This will be an eight spot, single elimination bracket tournament. All but the final match will go for three rounds of no more than 10 minutes each. If your team loses a match it will be eliminated from the competition.

With this event we hope to add some variety alongside the more common 1v1 tournaments. We highly suggest that you read this invitation and the embedded notecards in full. if you have any questions concerning the Final Stand 3v3 Tournament please email us at csi@thefinalstand.com or contact Malachi Rothschild or Atrus Westland in game.

# Sign ups and Entry Fees #
###########################

Team Signup

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Please remember that there are only eight spots in this tournament.

Applications must be submitted by the clan leader. This helps us with verifying that participating teams have been approved to compete in the tournament. Keep in mind that all members on an application must be from the same clan.

Clan leaders must submit the team roster and application to csi@thefinalstand.com with the subject “3v3 Team Application” please make sure to include the in-game name of everyone on the roster. After approval and verification you will be asked to pay the entry fee. Do not pay until your application has been verified. Entry fees must be paid to Atrus Westland. If they are paid to someone else the application and entry will be considered invalid. Rosters may consist of up to six members but please remember that only three will play in each bout.

The entry fee is 100L per person for the first three entrants. Each individual over the first three will require an additional 50L each.

3 team members = 300L
6 team members = 450L

The Final Stand will not be taking any cut of the entry fees. They will be added directly to the purse. The prize money will be awarded to the clan leader of the winning team at the end of the tournament.

Judges Signup

There will be a panel of six judges. The judges may not appear on any team roster nor will they be assigned to judge a match that their team is participating in.

We would prefer that a majority of the judges be from C:SI clans, however the judge’s panel will not be limited to only members of the clans. C:SI community members in good standing who are clanless are welcome to submit an application as well.

In order to judge you must be available for each day of the tournament for a half hour before and after the designated match times, that is from 2:30pm SLT to 5pm SLT on each day.

Send applications to csi@thefinalstand.com with the subject “3v3 Judges Application”. Please also include your in-game name.

Yayyyy team combat.

A good katana fight is like a good conversation.

It's deeply engaging, reciprocal
and it flows smoothly.

I just wanted to give a quick update, since I can't sleep and woke up with my knee hurting like hell due to the cold.

We have decided to push the tournament back one week. Which would put the starting weekend on the 8th and 9th instead of the 1st and 2nd.

Also since we do plan on holding more tournaments in the future as long as this one goes well, we've created a group that will be used to give out in-game updates. Durring an active tournament we'll do a group notice after the end of every round with the results of each match etc etc. The group is open to join, anyone is welcome; just look up "TFS Tournaments".

Correction to the above: TFS Tournaments is the name of the group.
